Aaron Benz is the Founder and CEO of CampusIQ (formerly Degree Analytics). A mathematician by training, Aaron has spent a decade advancing analytics in higher education. He holds a granted utility patent in machine learning systems for student engagement and has earned numerous accolades, including “Trendsetter,” “Leadership,” and “Cool Tool” EdTech Finalist Awards, SIIA CODiE Award Finalist, ASU-GSV Top Innovator, and induction into Eastern University’s 2018 Hall of Honor. His research on SARS-CoV-2—leveraging epidemiological metadata, Wi-Fi–based location data, wastewater, and viral sequencing—was published in Cell & Cell Medicine. Under his leadership, CampusIQ has developed a scalable system analyzing campus usage and engagement across 200 million square feet, processing billions of data points each month. Through his technical vision and strategic direction, Aaron continues to drive CampusIQ’s mission: empowering institutions with actionable insights that enhance campus success and operational performance.
