Angela Jacobs
Director, Capital Programs & Utility Services

Angela Jacobs has been a University of Illinois System employee for more than 10 years and has worked in capital delivery since 2015. She currently serves as a director in the Office of Capital Programs and Utility Services. In this role, Jacobs leads various department initiatives while overseeing the business functions and overall operations of the unit. Recent initiatives include reimagining the capital project planning and approval process, selecting and overseeing implementation of a new project management information system, and finding new ways to analyze and report on capital spending and trends.
Angela earned a Bachelor’s in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Gies College of Business. Since joining the U of I System staff, she has earned a Master of Education in higher education finance and policy and is pursuing a doctorate in the same field. Prior to her roles in higher education, Angela worked as a CPA in both public and corporate accounting. She enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on Illinois sports teams, reading, volunteering at her children’s school, and traveling.
