Dan Okoli is an innovative and versatile higher education architect/planner and business leader with more than 30 years of progressive management experience, and excellent broad-based expertise in strategic planning, project management, budgeting, planning, contract negotiation, financial management, and strategic organizational leadership with strong commitment to innovative operational effectiveness, holistic sustainability, customer service, and inclusive civic engagement. He has managed large and complex projects, programs, and organizational change efforts. He is a presenter on a variety of topics to diverse audiences locally and nationally. He has also taught undergraduate courses at several colleges.

Dan currently serves as Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer at University of California, Merced, responsible for physical operations, planning, and development. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President for Capital Planning and Campus Operations at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, University Architect and Director of Capital Planning and Development at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, University Architect and Director of Architecture and Planning Services at Pace University in New York, and Senior Architect at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dan holds a few degrees including a PhD in Higher Education Leadership. He is a licensed architect.
