Musa Pam

Associate Vice President, Facilities Management 

UNLV

As associate vice president of facilities management, Musa Pam is responsible for approximately 4 million square feet of space within 100 buildings and facilities, 13,000 assets, and 400 acres of grounds on UNLV’s Maryland and Shadow Lane campuses. He leads a workforce of approximately 300, including direct reports, administrative personnel, custodial, trades, grounds, and student workers, and oversees the unit’s operational and capital improvement budgets.

Musa recently led efforts to create UNLV’s first ever climate action plan. Nicknamed Rebel CAP, this represents the first ever climate action plan created by any of the eight Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institutions. Additionally, Musa has led the creation of a Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) for the department, as well as the launch of a Strategic Infrastructure Planning (SIP) process.

Musa’s career spans about three decades of servant leadership, including at leading Harvard-affiliated healthcare institutions, private entrepreneurial business enterprises, and public educational institutions. Prior to UNLV, Musa was most recently in a facilities management leadership role at Brown University.
